Cindy and Manuel.

It all started when Manuel call me to ask me if I could shoot his proposal to Cindy.
We talked and he came out with an Idea fro the proposal. They got engaged at Javier’s at the Irvine Spectrum . We were supposed not to talk,that way Cindy wouldn’t suspect anything. So it was the first time I met with a men in the restroom. They had Dinner and Drinks, and the sign was supposed to be when Manuel scratch his right side of the head. He was so nervous that I almost blew off the cover.
Dessert came he scratch his hair and nee down as I jump from the bar and started taking shots. Everyone cheer and that was the start of this. The day of the wedding on my way to Mission Viejo I missed the street so 5 minutes late Cindy call she’s is the Second Bride to call me as I was turning onto their street. The Ceremony was very emotional and intimate Cindy’s Uncle was the Minister, and at times he was so happy that. his voice almost broke.
You could tell Manuel and Cindy were super happy just by looking at their eyes. The reception Intimate. Spiritual and their family was very supportive. Cindy was my First Bride to use the P.A to say thanks to me. It was awesome and embarrassing at the same time. Cindy and Manuel you guys are awesome.

Couple weeks ago I had the chance to be Rudy Loza’s Second photographer at the Beautiful CSULB Japanese Gardens in Long Beach.

Last week I had the opportunity to be at the Crystal Cathedral Wedding Show. In my home town Garden Grove. I displayed some on my work, and talk to the engaged couples. Claremont Wedding Ana and Christian say I do

This New Year Celebration was with the wedding of Ana and Christian their wedding was a Celebration more than anything, and let me tell you. It was a great party.

Ana was waiting a little bit nervous getting ready at the hotel casa 425 getting her make up done when we arrive I joke a tiny bit and later she was calm I can only Imagine what comes into the brides mind everything has to be perfect. I did a bride session at the hotel and there were beautiful photography shots. when she saw my work the first time she told me it was very intimate. I cannot agreed more, I wanted to bring this out more.
Most of my photography was done with tungsten light. It brings more warmth to the scene. I only used flash when absolutely necessary.

The ceremony was really cool she had her dog jumped out in the middle of the ceremony to bring the rings how cool its that everyone was laughing. Then party time Open bar on New Years hey nothing beats that. But Peruvian cuisine with Arroz con Pollo y Tamales.

I loved it one because it forces you to frame the picture and compose faster

Last month I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Yvonne and Hector they booked me more than a year in advance It made me feel honored. here's some photos from their wedding we started out at Yvonne’s house and her dad and family was more than cool.

We did the getting ready shots and headed to St Denis Catholic Church were most of the family was waiting. It was probably the first wedding I been that the church was packed. There was a no flash policy at church but I just love natural lighting.

We took some formal shots at the en of the ceremony, then we headed to the Sheraton Suites at the Pomona Fairplex, where we did the Portraits Yvonne and Hector are just the coolest energetic and fun!. I really loved their wedding theme and Cake with a groom and a bride de Calaveras hey that was Sweet. leave some comments guys.

This Is where I left, first I want to share some images form Jessica & Justin’s Wedding at Anaheim. We started with Jessica’s brides maids at the
Peacock suites in Anaheim Jessica was super patient, and something can go wrong at your wedding day as Jessica was getting ready Justin call to let her know that their get away car was crush at their apartment gate. They were using a lifted 4x4 Jeep. she just said really calm just put it in the garage will fix it later. Justin was still trying to have it fix. We moved to the Doubletree. Suites in Orange, were we shot Jessica and Justin’s, but without letting neither of them see each other.

We then headed to Anaheim to the ceremony at the
Eisenhower Park It was very emotional when they exchanged bilingual vows it was cool especially the part were you get emotional translate everything to Spanish romantic, I had my friend Violeta Vaqueiro Photography as my second shooter Thank U Violeta and this is what we came out with.

The Reception was very intimate it was at the Lakeview Banquet Center then the party got started by DJ Mars Resendiz and Ooh man they know how to party, soft rock 80’s and even merenge

Couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting for Ana and Andy’s wedding at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. We started out with Ana at the Riverside Marriot for the getting ready photos. From there we went over to St. Catherine of Alexandria Church a Traditional Catholic ceremony, even with a Mariachi band. Following that we headed to the reception at the Riverside Auditorium and took some of Andy’s and Ana’s formal photographs. Then the fun started with the Father-daughter dance. It was nothing I’ve seen. Pretty original and let me tell you Ana’s dad got some moves. The house was literally rocking with a live band they even played one of my faves., Corazon Espinado by Santana and Mana but that wasn’t it Ana’s girlfriends know how to party. Congratulations Ana and Andy.!

Last Week I had the opportunity to take Jennifer and Abraham Sisa’s wedding pictures at Beautiful Newport Beach, we started at Garden Grove my home town and shot these Bride portraits. I love these guys since we first met. to me it was long time ago. I photographed their engagement session end enjoyed, but their wedding It was something else. It was cozy, romantic, and beautiful. Jennifer had some of her friends from college came down to Orange County for the wedding.
I was really Impress with all the help she had form all her friends. Carle did Jennifer’s hair and form what I noticed she has more than passion for what she does. I met all of her friends these guys rock. The ceremony took place at sunset at a yacht. It was a beautiful scenario for the ceremony. the decorations were done by Julie brooks. for the Bride and Groom session I liked the warmth of the sunset and loved the results judge for yourself.

Last weekend I was Rudy Loza’s second photographer. at a wedding at the Holiday Inn, in Buena Park. We photographed Nancy & Crist Wedding. Even we were running a bit late on the wedding schedule, we manage to capture every detail. Rudy gave total freedom to do whatever I wanted to do. It’s great to be Second shooter, even at my own weddings. It lets you focus on shooting emotions & covering much better the story

Hello I want to share some images from an Engagement Session. we had with
Jennifer & Abraham at Seal-Beach in Orange County. I meet Jenn & Abe last year. when we came to the session he mention he's into music, so I took longer to find some grooves for the slide show, but I think it's worth it. Jenn is Planning the whole wedding by herself and she knows axactly what she wants down to the last detail. I had posted a couple of their photographs and said when you look at this couple you see they love from each other from miles away. but I was wrong you can go to the moon and still see it.

The Garden room Garden Grove

Today as I was coming back from an appointment in Long Beach
I was driving down the 22 FWY when I remembered that my buddy
was having A Quinceañera at the Garden Room in Garden Grove
I never shot at this place before so I decided to go and check it out
not such a good idea.
I pressed the intercom and Ask for the Wedding Coordinator and
some lady ask me who was I. I told her my name and ask her if I could
see the location. she took some time to respond she came and open the door
and told me she had an appointment at the moment. I said I didn't mind if
I waited a little bit. before I fished saying. she said she had another
appointment coming. I was the first time that a coordinator acts
like this to me. they know lots of brides ask photographers about venues
but I guess she doesn't mind. she pointed where the gazebo was
the chapel and the reception area and head back to her office.
I peek for like 10 min hopping she came down she never did.
I walked myself out of there. later I google the garden room

Last Sunday I had the privilege to photograph Marlo & Jarrod's wedding in
beautiful Laguna. the ceremony took place at the beach. now talk about something romantic. Marlo is probably the only bride I know that wasn't nervous, not even a tiny bit. The reception was at Laguna Beach Hotel. We were suffering with, Sea breeze, lemonade, super nice music, and a 80 degree weather.

Why are Professional Photographers so expensive?
 (This article has been very well received by the photography community, and is now referred to by countless Photography websites, blogs and forums (such as LDPT, ILP and DWF)around the world).

In this digital age where everyone has digital cameras, scanners and home "photo printers", when people upload their photos to a local drug store website and pick them up a few hours later, we hear this all the time - How in the world do Professional Photographers charge $55 for an 8x10 when they cost just $1.50 at the drug store?
Here's why.
Simply put, you're not just paying for the actual photograph, you're paying for time and expertise. First, let's look at the actual time involved. If you don't read this entire page, at least read this first part.
For a two hour portrait session:
- one hour of travel to and from the session - two hours of shooting - 30 minutes of setup, preparation, talking to the client etc. - 30 minutes to load the photos onto a computer (2 - 4 Gb of data) - 30 minutes to back up the files on an external drive - 3 - 4 hours of Photoshop time including cropping, contrast, color, sharpening, saving a copy for print and a copy for the internet and backing up the edited photographs  - 2 - 3 hours to talk to the client, answer questions, receive their order and payment, order their prints, receive and verify prints, package prints, schedule shipment and drop package off at Fed Ex. - For local customers, we also print a set of all of their photos, and meet them at our studio to review the photos and place their order. Meeting and travel time averages 2 hours.
You can see how one two hour session easily turns into more than ten hours of work from start to finish. So when you see a Photographer charging a $200 session fee for a two hour photo shoot, you are not paying them $100 / hour.
For an eight hour wedding:
- I won't bore you with the details, but an eight hour wedding typically amounts to at least two to three full 40 hour work weeks worth of time. Again, if they are charging you $4,000 for an eight hour wedding, you are not paying them $500 / hour.
Now for the expertise.
Shooting professional photography is a skill, acquired through years of experience. Even though a quality camera now costs under $2,000 taking professional portraits involves much more than a nice camera.
Most Professional Photographers take years to go from buying their first decent camera to making money with their photography. In addition to learning how to use the camera itself, there is a mountain of other equipment involved, as well as numerous software programs used to edit and print photographs, run a website etc.
And let's not forget that you actually have to have people skills, be able to communicate, make people comfortable in front of the camera - and posing people to make them look their best in a photograph is a skill all by itself.
Think of it this way - the next time you pay $X to get your hair done, a pair of scissors only costs $1.50. But you gladly pay a lot more to hire a Professional.
What about the cheap studios at the mall?
Please don't compare us to the chain store studios. But if you must, consider all of the time and work that we put into our photographs, compared to what they do. Good luck getting a two hour photo shoot at a chain store. Not to mention they won't come to the beach! And of course, look at our work compared to theirs. You get what you pay for.
The truth is, most of the mall and chain store studios lose money. In fact, in 2007 Wal-Mart closed 500 of their portrait studios because of the financial drain they were putting on the company. What the chain stores bet on is that you'll come in for some quick and cheap photos, and while you're there, you'll also spend $200 on other things. They don't have to make money, they are just there to get you in the door.
Conclusion
We hope that those who have taken the time to read this page will have a better understanding of why professional photographs cost so much more than the ones that you get from your local drug store.

During the Wppi Convention I Organized a photo-shoot of the guys from forodefotografos.com it's a Spanglish speaking forum. We got some really and I mean really talented photographers from all over globe. Photographers from Puerto Rico. Orlando, Noel and Hector. from Mexico Erick an the Olvera Bros and from the U.S. Rodolfo, Mario, Marcie, Rene and Tacho, our Models/Photographers Karen,Cayupe and Gloria. We did some Cruising down las Vegas strip and this is what I came out with. I got some really cool shots form Chad & friends that were hanging out, outside Paris hotel most of the shots available light, which makes a little bit harder to get.
